The NSComm NS-OSFP-800G-2FR4 is a cutting-edge optical transceiver designed to support 800 Gigabit Ethernet by aggregating two independent 400 GBASE‑FR4 links in one module.

It employs dual sets of four CWDM wavelengths (1271, 1291, 1311, and 1331 nm), each modulated at PAM4, delivering up to 212.5 Gbps per lane for a total throughput of 425 Gbps per channel, aggregated into 800 Gbps performance.

The module reaches up to 2 km over single‑mode fiber (SMF) via dual duplex LC connectors and is hot‑pluggable. It supports Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM/DOM) and is equipped with a finned‑top housing for enhanced heat dissipation.

Built to comply with IEEE 802.3ck, IEEE 802.3cu, and OSFP112 MSA standards, the NS-OSFP-800G-2FR4 uses EML lasers and PIN photodiode arrays, compatible with QSFP‑DD CMIS Rev 5.0 host interfaces.

It supports 2×400 G standalone or 8×100 G breakout mode, and requires host‑side Forward Error Correction (FEC) for error-free links. The module operates reliably within a commercial temperature range of 0 °C to 70 °C, and draws < 16 W peak power.
